The Beach of Cha-AmBeautiful beach with fishing villageSand beach and relaxing, snacks from street vendors The beach of Cha-Am is divided into the north beach and the south beach. From the main road, the Phetkasem Road, is the Narathip Road leading directly from the traffic light to the beach. From here you can choose whether you prefer the quieter and shady South Beach, or the north beach. Recommendable and beautiful are both! 7.17 of 10 Stars At high season and at long weekends the Cha-Am beach is pretty crowded by numerous tourists from Bangkok. But also at this time you can find a quiet spot. At many places you will find jet ski rental companies and banana boats pulled by a jet ski. The south beach is, as already mentioned, the quieter part of the Cha-Am beach. Here the sand quality is not as good as on the other beach, there are small to medium stones in the water, so for swimming you should better go with bath shoes in the water. But if you just want to rest in the shade and relax, then the south beach is right for you! The middle of the two beaches in Cha-Am Thailand. In the middle of the two beaches is the viewpoint, the viewing platform. There are many times concerts here and various markets. Cha-Am also hosts many festivals. Here, for example, the annual kite festival. Hundreds of artists come here with their self-made kites and let them go. How much time and love the creation of the colorful kites has costed, you can see in the photos. It is really a beautiful view. The north beach has excellent sand and water quality. Here are also a lot of cheap hotels and guest houses to be found, which are always on the weekends booked out by the Bangkok tourists. There are also many horses to be found that offer horse riding for children on the beach of Cha-Am. The offer is gladly accepted and the horses are always in use, trotting the north beach up and down. Very popular for the children are the discarded inner tubes, which are used as a swimming aid. In the water, the children play around. They are playing peacefully and harmoniously. You can rent beach chairs and umbrellas, but it is advisable to ask for the price before. The farther north you go, the more quiet the bathing beach becomes. The waves are also decreasing because near a breakwater for the harbor was built. Every Wednesday, the beach is cleaned and at this day beach chairs are not allowed. Directly after the beach follows the romantic fishing village, where also some good fish restaurants can be found. Here in the small fishing port it is very busy in the morning time. Fish are unloaded from the ships, measured, weighed, sorted out and some fish get manufactured directly on the spot. If you are asking the workers friendly, they will also allow you to watch them at work and make some nice photos. An evening view of the mole. Here you can have a romantic walk in the evening. At the end of the mole, the landmark of Cha-Am is immortalized in the form of a squid monument. In Cha-Am there are not so many high-rise buildings and condos found like in Hua Hin. In Cha-Am is since a few years a building ban for houses with more than two floors. Sunset on the beach of Cha-Am. The water is quiet and the sky offers a colorful spectacle.
