8.74 of 10 Stars  The name of the beach is due to the numerous pine trees, which stand along the beach and provide soothing shadows. Suan means Park and Son means pine tree. The nearby beach hotel and the surrounding area were actually a recreation area for soldiers and veterans thought. It still belongs to the Amy Welfare Office today.  This beach also offers a lot of peace and seclusion - an ideal place to relax under the pines and listening to the sound of the sea.  The sometimes crowdes beach of >> Khao Takiab >> is far away. You can see many people at that beach but not here at Suan Son.  Mostly you are alone at this beautiful beach. Maybe every half an hour you can see some other people, walking at the beach.  Suan Son has relatively calm waters with a good and clean quality. It is ideal for swimming and bathing.  The tides let the water to disappear up to 50 meters.  This Thai lady is a mussel seeker. Mussels have become very expensive in Thailand because of the high demand. So it is a very profitable business.  There are beautiful mussels and shells at the Suan Son Beach.  At the beach you can find a place in the sun or behind you in the shadow of the trees.  The pine forest is quiet and has a nice fresh smell.  Some local Thais come here, sit under the trees, make picnic or just relaxing.  At low tide you can walk on the oceans ground. There are many crabs and small mussels to see.  Also here the beach is very sandy and good for a long walk.  The Suan Son beach is a wonderful place for all the family to relax and just enjoy the ocean and the nice sunshine. At this beach is always a fresh cool breath of air.  You can walk into the water for about 50 meters until it gets deep. So also for children this beach is good for swimming.  2 kilometers to the north is the beach of >> Khao Takiab >> and 2 kilometers to the south is the beach of >> Khao Tao >>.  Sometimes, but it is really rare, also horses are at the beach. Some children like it very much to ride a horse at the beach.  In evening the beach is very romantic.
