7.97 of 10 Stars  About 10 kilometers south of Hua Hin is the beach "Khao Tao Sai Noi", at the foot of the hill with the big golden Buddha "Khao Tao", which gave it its name. You will recognize this beach by its large Buddha statue, which looks out over the sea.  Surrounded by two massive rocks the dreamlike bathing beach lies relatively lonely.  The beach of Khao Tao is only about 250 meters long and about 40 meters wide. The water is unfortunately a bit tricky. After approximately 10 meters the seabed drops sharply and stronger ocean currents can occur. Never leave your children alone in the water.  Close to the beach you also can find some small typical Thai restaurants and also street vendors come to the beach to sell their goods.  On the beautiful rock formations are fairytale figures by the famous Thai poet Sunthon Phu, who wrote in the 19th century the history of Phra Apai Mani.  You can look for a shady place under a rock and relax in a picturesque setting.  The ascent to the golden Buddha is a little cumbersome and exhausting. The stairs to the trail are a little hidden, you can find them on the left of the fairytale figures.  High above, the huge golden Buddha stands out among the trees.  At the plateau is also a shaded rock, under which you can take a breathe from the ascent. The huge golden Buddha statue is about 12 meters high.  The view up from the giant Buddha is really great.  So here at the top, you can stay half an hour, relax and enjoy the nature.  From the top you have a nice view of a small harbor, where some fishing boats are moored.  From the plateau you have a beautiful view over the beach of Suan Son beach. Back on the horizon is on the right side of the cliffs of Khao Takiab.
